Founded in 1908, Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging is a Cleveland-based nonprofit whose mission is to support caregivers and empower all people to age well through research, consumer-responsive services and client advocacy.The following programs and subsidiaries operate together to fulfill our mission:Home- and Community-based services: Includes mental health day treatment, social work, behavioral health services, Senior Companions, and WeCare…Because You DoSM, a telephone-based care coaching program. Most services are delivered through Benjamin Rose subsidiary Eldercare Services Institute, LLC.Rose Centers for Aging Well: Provides home-delivered meals, as well as hot lunches, programs and services at six senior center locations throughout Cleveland, East Cleveland and Oakwood.Empowering and Strengthening Ohio's People (ESOP): Helps adults in all stages of life achieve and maintain financial wellness and housing stability.Margaret Wagner Apartments: Offers supportive housing for low-income older adults.Research and Education: Conducts applied aging studies that enhance the lives of older adults and the family members, friends, and professionals who care for them. Education and training programs disseminate the latest information about aging issues to professional and lay audiences.Community Advocacy: Engage in advocacy activities with a focus on financial stability, caregiving, housing, behavioral health and racial equity.Conference Center at Benjamin Rose: Includes meeting and event space ideal for lectures, seminars, corporate events, banquet meals, social gatherings and trade displays.
