Comprised of three major programs dedicated to Education, Youth Development and the restoration of Family Values. Education Program: The Wellington School (TWS). "Redefining institutional learning & education"TWS is a private secular co-educational preparatory Institution offering non-sectarian education to qualified students regardless of national origin, race or religion. TWS promotes a healthy learning environment where the necessary tools are given to enrich lives and help create globally conscience and competitive driven individuals. Family Rehabilitation and Homeless Prevention Program: Second Chance 180 (2C1)."Shifting the tide one family at a time"2C1 is program dedicated to the rebuilding and promotion of family values. 2C1 removes families from hotels forced to live there (when they can afford it) because of homelessness. Placing them into homes where they all receive counseling as a unit, individually, and bi person. Youth Development Program: the Durham Youth Alliance (DYA)."Improving the community one child at a time"DYA is a program designed to help progress the mind, body and sprit of the youth. Within DYA kids are given opportunities to grow, learn and develop wholly into responsible happy and productive individuals. DYA also gives those who want to learn and participate in the performing arts the outlet to do so. DYA acts as a "second home" to those that have aged out of the foster care system, youth that sill need a little help in finding their way in the world. Wither through home placement and academic planning, or job training and placement. DYA hosts an annual 6-week long enrichment and performing arts summer camp. Allowing students the chance to make productive a summer. DYA is dedicated to insuring the progression and uplifting of the a generation.
