The National LGBT Federation (NXF) campaigns for equality for LGBT people in Ireland & abroad. The NXF publishes GCN, the national LGBT news-magazine of record, which is he key information resource for the Irish LGBT community. The NXF is a registered charity and not for profit company. Strategic direction of the organisation is provided by the NXF Board. The organisation influences policy development at national and international level to promote equality for LGBT people through active involvement in civil society.The NXF organises the GALAs: the annual LGBT awards. The GALAs honours lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people and organisations for their contributions to Irish society, both north and south of the border. The awards, now in their fourth year, also honour politicians, employers and other people who are committed to advancing equality and social acceptance for LGBT people in Ireland.
