Established in 2016, Tharsos is UCL's oldest financial news provider, publishing bi-weekly reports. Our analysts across the 4 core teams (Equities, Commodities, Currencies, and Emerging Markets) build the analytical and creative skillset to produce high-quality coverage and analysis. The society's incredible growth was recognised in 2020 as it gained affiliation with the UCL Student's Union. Despite the obstacles posed by the pandemic, we have provided opportunities for a diverse array of students to collaborate across the UK with other leading societies and have established a fully operational hub at the University of Nottingham. We aim to provide students the opportunity to explore the financial markets and find where their passion lies. Our committee mentors our analysts, guiding them through the application process for Spring Weeks and Summer Internships, with the hope that they will eventually be able to give back by helping other students.
