Non-Commercial Organization "Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan" (IVFRT) was established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan on the 17th of November , 2004, with a view to innovative activity development of the Republic of Tatarstan.Mission of the Fund : increasing innovation potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, developing science-intensive industries and implementing new advanced technologies, formation of new innovation activity development approaches in Tatarstan, assisting innovations, creating conditions for systems of venture financing and improving support system for science-intensive small and medium-sized businesses.Main fields of activity: • participating in implementing innovation and investment projects, including those, which are on the earliest, most risky stages of development; • providing scientific groups with grants for the performance of R&D activities, supporting fundamental scientific research; • stimulating innovative activity of the scientists, inventors, scientific and technical workers, attracting the youth to scientific and research activity by developing and implementing contest events; • improving and developing the Republican innovative infrastructure by developing and implementing special events; • developing and implementing progressive mechanisms for small and medium-sized business support; • advancing innovative projects, products of the Republican enterprises and organizations, gaining favorable publicity and investment attractiveness of Tatarstan by participating in regional, federal, and foreign exhibitions and fairs.
