Trauma has a significant impact on a survivors emotional and physical health. It changes the way that they relate to themselves and to the world around them, and it increases their risk developing addictions, anxiety, depression, and a wide variety of other challenging aftereffects in result of the pain of their trauma. Most survivors need help to recover from these after effects, yet there is a significant lack of trauma informed mental health professionals around the globe. The International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching exists to change that by certifying coaches and educating all other professionals about how to provide trauma informed care to their clients. Our mission is to help survivors of trauma recover and build a life they love to live - through offering training to anyone who wants to be trauma informed, certifying Trauma Recovery Coaches, and providing support hope, and healing for survivors.
