Haeccity Studio Architecture is an emerging full-service design studio in Vancouver, Canada. We are committed to practicing responsible design and realizing lasting structures for the healthy integration of human and natural systems.Haeccity Studio Architecture (HSA) borrows its name from philosophy where haecceity denotes the discrete and defining characteristics of a thing. Founded on the conviction that architects can enact meaningful change, we are dedicated to exploring the defining qualities of each design challenge, making each endeavour unique in its engagement with its environment, community, and culture.Current work includes projects of various scales such as single family residences, rental housing, commercial spaces as well as planning and research around the missing middle typology. With a wealth of experience having worked on diverse projects from around the world, our team members adapt easily to project requirements and often engage in collaborative opportunities with a network of local industrial designers, craftspeople, and artisans. Expanding the agency of people to shape their ideal society is a goal that defines our service, our product, and our process.
