The elementslab is an urban design and environment focused research group in the School of Architecture + Landscape Architecture and the Centre for Interactive Research in Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. We investigate methods of measured visualization in the development of new knowledge, processes and tools for effective, creative integration of environmental issues with the planning and design of cities and neighbourhoods. Our expertise spans the disciplines of urban design, landscape architecture and architecture and we work across scales from regions to buildings. Our current work focuses on issues of energy and emissions reduction at urban and building scales.
