Travengers AU was created for young adults who wants to be independent, social and enjoy life, but without the opportunity to do so. It was founded by Agnes in January 2020, after many years frustration seeing the limited opportunities her autistic sister had, as well as several young people she met through her professional work as a Disability Nurse.What we do: - Organise trips for young people to travel in groups or individually with Support Workers/Guides- Connect young adults through frequent social events and travel- Run a Virtual Travel Group during Covid-19 lockdownsMission StatementWe will create equal opportunities for young people with social support needs to travel, challenge themselves, build connections and enjoy a good quality of life.We will educate others through our travels, and create a ripple-effect of acceptance and understanding.VisionA world where travel and social connection is possible for all young adults.A world where people with hidden disabilities are accommodated for, and accepted and appreciated for who they are.To be available for young people across Australia and beyond.For self-managed and plan managed NDIS participants and others.
