Trafikförsäkringsföreningen (TFF) is a cooperation body for Sweden's traffic insurance company. TFF's main tasks are to charge a statutory fee from owners of uninsured motor vehicles, regulate traffic damage caused by unknown, uninsured and foreign vehicles and to participate in the international motor insurance work. Anyone who owns a motor vehicle must take out motor insurance from the first day. If you do not do this, you have to pay a motor insurance fee to TFF for each day that the vehicle is uninsured. What TFF receives in the fee contributes to compensating those people who have been injured or had something destroyed by an uninsured or unknown vehicle. There are around 60,000 uninsured vehicles in Sweden and they cause damage worth several hundred million kronor a year. TFF also cooperates at a European level to make it easier for people who are traveling abroad and have an accident in traffic. TFF has around 100 employees who mainly work in the areas of customer service, law, claims settlement and business development. TFF has a wholly owned subsidiary, Svensk Försäkring Administration.
