We are One Care (BNSSG) Ltd, a GP provider-led organisation that represents practices in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). We have just over 80 shareholding practices. We were borne out of One Care Consortium, who bid successfully to the Prime Minister's Challenge Fund to improve access to general practice in April 2014. Over the course of the first two years of the programme, the need for an organisation that would enable practice to speak with one voice began to emerge, and One Care (BNSSG) Ltd was formed in summer 2016.Since then we have agreed our Articles of Association and registered One Care (BNSSG) Ltd on 1 September 2016 as a company limited by way of shares. Our practices are our shareholders, each having bought a £1 nominal share in the company. We now have a Board of nominated and elected Directors, who are GPs and practice managers from across BNSSG. Our vision is to enable general practice to both survive and thrive. One Care Ltd exists to ensure that the heart of General Practice, so valued by our patients, survives and continues to provide comprehensive, whole-person health care to individuals and their families. Through collaboration, we will adeptly provide the scale, innovation and leadership to evolve our services, so that General Practice is invigorated and thrives into the future.Our strategic aims are:1. To enable resilient, sustainable General Practice2. To develop innovative ways of working and out of hospital services at scale3. To be the strong provider voice for General Practice
