Celluloid, the film society of Miranda House, is the powerhouse of film fanatics in the college. A congregation of 150+ movie buffs, it accommodates cinephiles and movie lovers of every genre and category, providing them a diverse platform to avail themselves with the experiences of the premier cultural events organised by the society. Miranda House has not just been a supreme academic institution but has also markedly encouraged liberal arts, having produced some of the finest cinematic personalities like Nandita Das and Mira Nair. And so does Celluloid, offering an enlarging space for its members to explore and escalate their passion and endearment for movies. The society puts forward prospects for its members to not just try out but sharpen their skills at Filmmaking, Public Relations and mustering Sponsorship, designing Graphics , pen down creative Blog articles, and understanding the technicalities of logistics. Over the years, Celluloid has also been participating in various inter-college and university level competitions and has won accolades for the college. In the session 2019-2020, Celluloid secured the first position in Honest Trailer and third position in short film category at IIT Kanpur. At Udan Utsav, the society took away the second prize for Best Script and third prize for Best Direction in Documentary. In addition, Celluloid won the first position in the Short film category at Jesus and Mary College, SGBT Khalsa and Sri Aurobindo College and first position again at IIT Bombay in One-minute filmmaking event. In the session 2020-2021, despite pandemic Celluloid successfully managed to conduct some top-tier events namely, Hopping Sparrow film festival, an interactive session with Aditya Kripalani, renowned filmmaker, director, producer and musicians. Also, screening of "The Discreet Charm of the Savaranas" and an interactive session with director Rajesh Rajamani and poet renowned poet Meena Kandaswamy.  Apart from these, the society also organised a number of highly engaging online competitions such as "Theory of summarising everything" which had 700+ social media involvements. Not to forget, Celluloid's launch of "Chalchitra Darpan" a first of its kind undergraduate film journal in Delhi University.
