In 2005, Denise transitioned her legal career from solo practice to working with DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Mark Anthony Scott. The Superior Court has jurisdiction over serious criminal felony matters such as murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault. The Superior Court also presides over civil matters, and has exclusive jurisdiction over family matters, such as divorce. \\As Judge Scott's Staff Attorney, Denise is primarily responsible for assuring that the Judge has a clear, concise understanding of the issues and applicable law of each civil and criminal case assigned to him.
