Lawyers of Color is an organization dedicated to promoting diversity and social justice in the legal community and beyond. Originally established as On Being a Black Lawyer in 2008 to report news of import to black legal professionals, Lawyers of Color has expanded into media and research. Lawyers of color produces e-newsletters, events, and social media platforms to engage legal professionals and the wider community in the areas of diversity and social justice. We also promote the causes and contributions of minority attorneys. Our efforts have been received recognition from the American Bar Association, Thomas Reuters, and The The National Black Law Student Association, among others. Our readers include law school students and Big Law partners; advocates and academics; public defenders and prospective law students.
