In 2007 Footprints in Recovery became the first private substance abuse recovery facility on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Being a small, private facility brings an enormous advantage over state and public detox wards and treatment hospitals. Success: in-depth education, 12 steps, self awareness, spirituality and relapse prevention. Other important and unique qualities of the Footprints in Recovery program include our attention given to stress reduction, coping skills, anger management, and self-esteem areas.
