The community is highly spirited and takes pride in the schools through student scholastic achievement, as well as team sport excellence. The district offers a variety of large school experiences in a small school setting. These experiences, when combined with the strong support of the community, make Mechanicville Schools' family setting conducive for success.The school district is divided into a K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 configuration. A new elementary school and middle school wing opened in 2003.
