Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co Kildare is Ireland's premier boarding school Clongowes Wood College is a seven-day boarding school located in beautiful surroundings, twenty miles from Dublin in the heart of Co. Kildare. We are a home from home for four hundred and fifty pupils from all four provinces of Ireland and abroad. Clongowes is a Jesuit Catholic school that strives to support students in their growth towards a greater understanding and awareness of their faith and the part that this plays in their lives. Our primary objective is to provide an environment where students not only learn more about spirituality and the Christian faith, but also try to integrate their own spirituality into daily living. For 200 years Clongowes has been producing an open, happy, stimulating, mutually respectful community in which young people are able to develop the full range of their talents and abilities in a balanced, integrated and generous way. A key characteristic of Jesuit Education, ‘cura personalis' (care of the person), is at the centre of all that we do.
