Banna'i, "l'uomo che costruisce", è un'arte decorativa che si serve del cufico, uno stile calligrafico caratterizzato dalla forma geometrica dei grafemi. L'estetica del segno compone un'immagine bilanciata e densa di significato. La ricerca nella produzione dell'oggetto e la commistione di idee e di segni si uniscono creando un prodotto unico e la rappresentazione diventa quindi la somma delle bellezze intrinseche nel singolo segno che generano una sintesi di significati e stili.
