Per juni 2018 ben ik gestart met Shiatsu Praktijk Alex Hoekema aan de Scheldestraat 2 in Alkmaar. Hiermee is een al langer gekoesterde droom werkelijkheid geworden. Naast iokai shiatsu therapeut ben ik als fysiotherapeut werkzaam in een praktijk in Heerhugowaard.Iokai shiatsu is een holistische therapie, waar de mens als geheel - lichaam en geest - centraal staat. De therapeut maakt gebruikt van zijn handen, vingers, duimen, ellebogen of knieën om de energiestromen in de meridianen te herstellen waardoor het zelfherstellend vermogen van het lichaam wordt gestimuleerd.
