27 January is Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD). It is a day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. On HMD we honour the survivors of these regimes and challenge ourselves to learn lessons from the past to create a safer, better future. The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) is the charity, established by the Government, that promotes and supports HMD.
