The intensive care unit has grown from 4,600 to 13,000 square feet in order to accommodate today's advanced life-saving technologies. A new telemetry floor with 24 private patient rooms will allow the hospital to convert multi-patient rooms in other areas to private without reducing capacity. The $54 million building project opened in October 2015.In addition to Milford Regional's exciting new building, patients benefit from our patient care center which includes eight state-of-the-art operating suites, consolidated surgical services (including admitting and pre-admission testing) and a medical/surgical floor with private rooms, many with advanced patient monitoring capabilities.
