ASIPI was founded in 1964 and the foundation protocol took place in Acapulco and Mexico City that same year from April 11th to 16th. The creation of ASIPI was the result of the concern and work of 25 intellectual property practitioners from 17 nations of the Americas. Forty-six years later, ASIPI is an organization integrated by over 1,000 Intellectual Property practitioners from over 50 countries of America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.Ever since its foundation, ASIPI has included in its meetings organizational, academic, and social activities, making it possible to interchange opinions, experiences, positions and knowledge of the daily practice of Intellectual Property Compared Law. ASIPI is an association of practitioners of Intellectual Property Law with the most varied inclinations and profiles having a common denominator -all are practitioners and advocates of Intellectual Property Law. ASIPI was the pioneer organization in the world of private regional bodies related to Intellectual Property. The foundation of other significant Intellectual Property private regional organizations in Europe, the Eastern and the Arabian World took place only shortly after the foundation of ASIPI in 1964. ASIPI is an organization with the life and dynamism of young organizations, and above all, it is a noble and kind organization. It is an organization that opens its doors to all practitioners of the world involved in all matters related to the initiation, preservation, defense, respect and termination of those rights that fall on immaterial assets of a company. In this sense, we invite all advocates of Intellectual Property rights who have not yet joined our association to do so, in order to share their experiences and enjoy the wonderful and enriching experience to become part of ASIPI.
