Boston Renaissance Charter Public School (BRCPS) is a public charter school in Boston, Massachusetts, serving students from K1-6th grade. Originally opened in 1995, BRCPS is now located on a beautiful, six-acre campus in a state-of-the-art facility with modern amenities and classrooms all of which were built in 2010 when the school relocated from its original downtown Boston Location to its current setting in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood. Outdoors, we have two playgrounds, a track, basketball, and turf athletic field. Indoors, the classrooms, gymnasium, arts classrooms, dance studios, violin and piano studios, library, and computer labs provide students with the space and tools they need to be successful – and have fun. BRCPS was among the first cohort of charter schools to be approved in Massachusetts when we opened our doors to students in 1995, operating in a 15-story building in downtown Boston. Though our location and many other things have changed in the 25 years since we first started, two things have remained constant – our commitment to providing every student a well-rounded, arts-rich education with high academic standards, and our strong connection to our students' families and the broader community of Boston. Our students enjoy exceptional instruction in music, dance, and visual arts, and a groundbreaking Mandarin Chinese language program – among the first of its kind in the U.S. - in addition to their core academic curriculum. Through our arts and language programs, many of our scholars have had the opportunity to travel the country, including three trips to perform in the Voices of Renaissance Chorus at the White House, and even travelled on a trip to China. Boston Renaissance has played an important role in the local education landscape, and we look forward to the next 25 years and all the amazing things our community can accomplish together.
