Praxis Clinical contracts with universities and medical schools, including Yale School of Medicine, to provide highly qualified clinical skills educators. Independent gynecological teaching associates (GTAs) use their own bodies as models to teach students to perform thorough, comfortable, and empowering gynecological exams. Our goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental learning environment, where each student can learn and practice the techniques of the breast and pelvic exams. We aim to position the exam in the context of patients' lives and culture, so students will connect their training with the lived experience of their patients. GTAs work with the students in the supportive and encouraging style we hope the students will use with their future patients.
