Guadalupe Clinic is a donation-based safety-net clinic that has been providing health care since 1985. Patients range from young adults to the elderly, many of whom are working but cannot afford other health care options. Guadalupe Clinic provides health care services for a requested $5 donation; however, no one is ever turned away due to an inability to donate. For $5, patients receive a doctor's care, lab tests, X-rays, and medications. When available, the clinic even includes bus vouchers or transportation if needed. This donation-based system is unique in Wichita. There are no sliding-scale fees and no other costs associated with care at Guadalupe Clinic. As more and more people find themselves choosing between paying bills or seeking a doctor's care, our three clinic locations are experiencing steady growth. You, our supporters and volunteers, are the key to our longevity of service and our continued success. We could not maintain growth and continue to add specialty clinics without your support. We thank each and every one of you!The Clinic maintains strategic partnerships with local universities including KU School of Medicine, Wichita State University, Newman University Nursing Program and many others. These partnerships infuse medical volunteers into our large volunteer base. These medical professionals not only see patients, but they also use their skills to train future medical staff. This past year, Guadalupe Clinic provided learning opportunities for more than 190 future doctors and nurses from various universities and hospitals. We are very proud to be a place of choice for teaching and mentoring. We are proud to be able to offer general health care, dermatology, allergy, cardiology, and chronic illness services, as well as diabetes and women's wellness clinics. We will continue to strive to take care of those we serve with compassion and kindness. God bless you all!
