In 1985, a young Bud Brown, fresh out of college, attended a keynote speech that would unknowingly change his life. The first and lasting words said by the GE keynote speaker were simply, "Are you passionate!?" Soon afterwards, Bud followed his lifelong passion for cars and began working at a Colorado franchised automobile dealer. While Bud enjoyed the interaction with his customers and selling automobiles, he - like most people - thoroughly detested the selling process used by most dealerships in that day.There had to be a better way!In May 1986, Bud left the dealership and drafted a business plan for an automobile brokerage firm, a new concept that would ultimately set the standard for customer treatment, transparency, and automobile sales standards of excellence that are of the utmost importance to car buyers, still to this day. Shortly after, H. M. Brown & Associates was born. We pride ourselves on the fact that H.M.
