Makii was founded in 2015 by illustrators Mielo Pouwer and Idris van Heffen and is based Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We saw lots of opportunities to create innovative and creative products for kids. So we bundled our talents and started sketching. Makii, derived from the verb ‘Make', became a huge success after we released our first product: the giant colouring picture. Our product range keeps on growing over the years, and today we supply to retailers all over the world. We have the right network with awesome Makii ambassadors, ensuring the creative explosion across the globe! With Makii Studio, we create customised products for all sorts of awesome companies. We have a vast knowledge of design and production and love to help telling stories through bespoke products. We're proud of our collaborations with HEMA, Rijksmuseum, CitizenM, Food for Care, London Transport Museum, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Liverpool FC, amongst others.
