Bridgefort Maritime (IOM) Ltd Is a boutique management company spin out from a major Private Equity business. It went live in February 2018 with a focus on the commercial shipping sector. It currently manages over $200m of assets spread over the container, tanker, and dry bulk segments. With over 50 years of hands-on experience within the financial and operational divisions, the company recognises that technical expertise is key to operational efficiency for maintaining the highest standard. This is achieved by maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with leading players including charterers, banks, brokers and technical managers. Bridgefort has been successfully involved in a number of bank and corporate restructures, including re-capitalising and stabilising shipping companies and putting them on a more sustainable path for the future. In addition, the company has undertaken a number of initiatives focusing on cost savings and asset turnarounds which have achieved significant operating cost and SG&A reductions on a per vessel basis vessel over a 12 month operating period whilst improving asset quality and utilisation. The company is looking to further expand its management platform and deploy capital.
