It is a highly valued advocate for children, child care legislation, and higher standards for child care services and programs within Alameda County. 4Cs: - Provides resource and referrals for licensed, affordable, quality child care and education. - Strengthens families, parents and guardians through child care education and payment assistance programs.- Offers training, business counseling, professional development support and funding to child care providers.- Promotes healthy nutrition and meals through its Child Health and Nutrition Education Programs.4Cs staff of dedicated experts coordinates child care resources, support nutrition services, and administer payment assistance programs for 18,000 children, families and child care providers. The agency helps close to 3100 families find affordable child care, and receives 2900 phone calls each year from families and child care professionals seeking advice on child related services. 4C's reimburses nearly 375 child care providers in order to feed over 3,000 young children.
