We're celebrating 25 years of moving children and families from homelessness to permanent housing. Each year in Wake County, 5,500 individuals experience homelessness, including nearly 4,000 children in Wake County schools who will not have a place to call home at some point during this school year. Family Promise of Wake County is working to bring those numbers down to zero.Since 1993, Family Promise has provided services to 1,500 Wake County families. With the expertise of our full-time staff of social workers, assistance from more than 3,500 volunteers and support from more than 50 partner congregations, we help families regain their independence through shelter, meals, case management and educational services.Family Promise's mission is to transform the lives of children and families experiencing temporary homelessness by helping them find support services and safe, affordable, permanent housing in our community.
