Confidant is owned and operated by Allan Dowdeswell, CGD. Trained as a graphic designer at Medicine Hat College and graduating with honours in 1995, I have been working professionally in Saskatchewan since that time with a wide array of print-based and electronic media. I am a certified member of the Graphic Designers of Canada (CGD,a.k.a. MGDC), a designation which requires five years of professional experience, a portfolio review, and adherence to the GDC Code of Ethics.I began Confidant Communications in 2009 as a part-time business in the interest of pursuing opportunities for creative excellence in my fields of expertise. In November of 2010 the business became successful enough that it became my full-time occupation.Some notable professional achievements are:• Winning the 2009 Premier's Award of Excellence in Graphic Design.• Creating an educational Flash animation which received a 2002 AMTEC Award for Excellence in Dealing With a Controversial Topic.• Creating a Flash game and collaborating on graphic design for another educational project which won another AMTEC Award in 2005.Confidant services are provided by myself and hand-picked local sub-contractors if time constraints or project scope makes it necessary. I take pride in providing high quality professional services done with morality and integrity.
