The Mission of the MHAIDS Center is:Provide the elements for developing the skills and knowledge to generate a climate in society where people affected by Mental Health problems and infected by HIV/AIDS feel like integral contributing members.The Goals of the MHAIDS Center are to:Assist and support people living with HIV/ AIDS and Mental Health disorders, their relatives and trustees in overcoming psychological barriers;Prevent both self and social stigmatization and discrimination of PLHIV;Identify and minimize new problems and risks of psychological pressure in society;Advocate for effective public health responses related to Mental Health and also HIV/AIDS;
