The Alamo Heights School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established in 1971 to support the Alamo Heights Independent School District and is operated by a staff and board of trustees comprised of parents, alumni, and concerned citizens. Initially conceived to oversee scholarships, the Foundation began to augment the curriculum and programmatic needs in the late 1980s. The Foundation's focus has changed over time as the District's needs have changed. At this time the Foundation actively raises money to provide funding for teachers' salaries. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided over $11 million in private funding to support teachers and innovative programs in the District.WE BACK TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IN THE ALAMO HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT.
