South Vihar Welfare Society for Tribal (SVWST) is a tribal women headed, non‐profitable, nongovernmental, non –political, organization established in 1998 by a group of dedicated young professionals, to bring human dignity and self‐sustained empowered community. The injustice, social discrimination and the tough life struggle of tribal inspired us to start the organization, since the inception of this organization we serve vulnerable communities irrespective of sex, caste and creed, religion to create a just society by empowering people to face the challenges and solution. The organization encourages women, children and youth to build leadership qualities to remove inequality and injustice from society and to play a major role in the process of social changes. They shall be a role model to create classless, oppression‐free society based on nonviolence and universal brotherhood. We do believes that women are the creator of new life, children are the future of nation and youth are the nation builders, so their contribution to society is enormous. STRATEGY Work with the most Vulnerable group of the community.To build up a dedicated and professional team.Participatory approaches in planning, implementation, its success & failure.Networking, Policy dialogue & advocacy with possible factors of development.Encourage participation of youth in development process.Natural and human resource management and organizational development.TARGET GROUP: Women, children, adolescent, youth, disabled, widow, older person, student, farmers (preference to Tribal Community) and various stakeholders. COVERAGE AREA: Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Orissa Bihar and West Bengal.
