Udaybhansinhji Regional institute of Cooperative Management (URICM), Gandhinagar was established in 1956 and is named after Udaybhansinhji, the Prince of Porbandar who was a leader of cooperative movement. He was also the founder Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative Organization (IFFCO), which has emerged as the world's largest fertilizers company. URICM is administrated by the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), funded by Ministry of Agriculture and Department of Cooperation, Government of India. Withstanding the PGDM (AMB) programme, the institute also offers long term & short term training programmes for the executives of Government departments and cooperatives. The long duration training programmes, Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (HDCM), Diploma in Industrial Cooperative Management. The institute organizes over 80 short term programmes of various is durations in the area of Banking , Leadership , Skill Development Cost reduction in the processing sector , Managerial skill development woman empowerment , Dairy , Cooperative credit , Micro Finance in collaboration with SEWA, NCCE , NABARD , NHB, ICA , etc. Apart from this institute organizes collaborated programmes ICA, NABARD, NHB ,WDRA ,NIAM manage , SEVA and Other allied institution.
