Family Rehabilitation Centre (FRC) is a non profit making organisation with over 25 years of experience in working with people with trauma in Sri Lanka. FRC has a Vision of "Communities and systems strengthened to effectively address and prevent trauma in Sri Lanka" FRC strives "To serve as one of the leading national organizations in rehabilitation of trauma survivors by engaging in counselling and holistic psychosocial services to trauma survivors, building capacity of relevant stakeholders to effectively address and prevent trauma in Sri Lanka".Within this broad framework, and working towards the vision as articulated above, FRC work in three specific spheres in the psychosocial field.1) Rehabilitation for trauma survivors2) Prevention of trauma and (re)victimization of trauma survivors3) Capacity building for relevant stakeholdersFRC's Trauma Rehabilitation Programme delivers services and implements activities to people affected by violence related trauma and systemic/structural violence including sexual & domestic violence. The purpose of the rehabilitation programme is to provide holistic services and care to those who are affected such as individuals and families affected by violent incidents so that such people can be reintegrated in to the society as normal productive people who can positively contribute to the community they live in.
