Outer Voice is to speak loudly. Outer Voice is to stand proudly. Outer Voice is to claim space. Outer Voice Records is the South Asian American label, founded by JAM & Philly. The brothers are joined in leadership by Becky Mathai, Nish Baig, and Archit Upadhyay. Together, Outer Voice aims to create a groundbreaking institution for South Asians in American entertainment. The label is building a pipeline for our underrepresented community to enter mainstream music, benefiting from the help of several brown mentors well-established in the industry (https://www.outervoicerecords.com/team).The building of Outer Voice was supported by Converse through industry networks, functional mentorship, and grant funding. We launched publicly via Converse's Instagram on June 8, 2021. We are now powered by Vydia, a premium distribution company that currently works/has worked with Kanye West, Akon, Post Malone, Russ, Daniel Caesar, Saweetie, and other influential artists.
