assistant director to film maker at MONTAGE Production - New York, New York, United States
Montage creates trailers for books, enhanced books, documentary films in the outdoor adventure genre & documentary coverage of impactful human projects, as well as event & promotional videos. At the root of Montage is a passion for storytelling. Through our trailers and films, we aim to stir excitement about "explorers" of real or fictional worlds and "dreamers" with inspiring visions.TRAILERS FOR BOOKSOur trailers are the result of a unique creative process, which brings together literary "erudites", filmmakers, animators, visual artists, and project managers. We have a three-step approach to deliver high quality, cost effective and visually engaging clips, which in 30 to 90 seconds capture the "soul" of the author's work, while creating a "viral" excitement among viewers. To support the distribution of book trailers, Montage intends to establish a centralized clearinghouse i.e. a website that will facilitate the discovery, exploration and selection of book titles.ENHANCED BOOKSWe envision a new offering of enhanced books – at the intersection of e-books, digital apps and videogames – and using the versatile multi-media capabilities of tablets, smart phones, laptops and other mobile devices to provide an immersive "reading" experience. The storytelling combines audio, video, text, music, sounds, and animation to render an engaging multi-dimensional universe. The literary narrative is augmented with the experience of other media, which introduces an interactive and non-linear progression.DOCUMENTARY FILMSSince 2007, Montage has filmed, edited and produced stories about soulful people who are embarking on great adventures, creating defining art or improving lives. We bring together backgrounds in cinematography, visual art, computer/technology, literature, theater and finance. We share a common passion for story telling, entrepreneurship and the great outdoors. Our experience spans feature length documentaries, shorts and LED art for giant displays.
