Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan teaches workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy to grades K-12. We are an important non-profit that helps prepare young people for the real world and teaches critical economic skills. Junior Achievement programs help show youth how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Our programs are provided completely free to schools. Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan, Inc. serves Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, & Van Buren counties and the communities of Bellevue, Olivet, Otsego, and Plainwell. Last year JA of Southwest Michigan impacted a total of 18,588 students in 813 classrooms through more than 500 classroom volunteers.
