SchoolSmartKC (SSKC) is an education based non-profit organization founded in 2017; our organization has been partnering with Kansas City public schools to serve the city's most vulnerable students since its inception. In under four years, SSKC has committed close to $25 million in funding into the public schools, both district and charter schools, and the organizations that support their students. SchoolSmartKC's goal is to close the achievement gap for Kansas City students and aims to see Kansas City Schools performing at or above national and state averages within ten years. The SSKC approach uses a robust, data-driven model to identify where disparities and inequities exist and makes strategic investments to improve school quality and provide tangible solutions to meet student need.
