Community Greening is a collective effort to improve our environment for people and nature. As a member of the Arbor Day Foundation's Alliance for Community Trees and the Florida Urban Forestry Council, Community Greening is a community-based non-profit dedicated to the planting and caring of trees. Mark Cassini and Matt Shipley founded Community Greening in 2016 in Delray Beach, Florida to mobilize people to plant trees and make a connection to green spaces. Projects such as the TD Green Streets Community Grove transformed a vacant city lot into a grove of 77 trees providing fresh fruit to The Set neighborhood. Community Greening encourages civic engagement to collectively improve the quality of life. Since August 2016, Community Greening has planted more than 1600 trees with 1500 volunteers in parks, homes and vacant lots.
