EcoHotels was founded in 2009 to provide sustainable escapes embedded in local culture, filled with new experiences, and delivered with a passion for impeccable service. The company is committed to developing environmentally-friendly retreats that give back to local communities and invest in pivotal conservation projects in the Middle East. EcoHotels manages and operates the award-winning Feynan, its first ecolodge in Jordan, and is currently working on the development of a new lodge in the North of Jordan. Feynan Ecolodge, situated in the pristine Dana Biosphere Reserve, is heralded by National Geographic's Adventure Magazine as one of the top 25 ecolodges in the world. The solar-powered lodge offers a completely unique experience and is the only ecolodge in Jordan that is not connected to the power grid. The lodge is lit by candles at night and guests can be found hiking in nature, canyoning, exploring nearby archaeological sites and learning about local culture from our Bedouin staff. The lodge blends seamlessly into its environment and has a minimal environmental footprint.
