Our MissionThe Health Alliance for the Uninsured is a catalyst for improved health care services for those who otherwise would be unable to obtain them.Why HAU works hard to address unmet health needs:Oklahoma has slipped in national health rankings from 44th in 2017 to 47th in 2018.Oklahoma ranks 49th in % of adults uninsured, with 16% of Oklahomans over age 18 lacking health insurance compared to 10% nationally.Every 24 minutes, someone dies in the U.S. due to a lack of health insurance.What HAU does to address unmet health needs:HAU partners with thirteen free/charitable clinics and two community health centers in Oklahoma County.HAU partner clinics provide primary care and HAU helps address medication needs, access to specialists, diagnostic testing and surgery.
