The American Sanskrit Institute supports Sanskrit study for all by offering immersion workshops and home study materials. ASI was created by Vyaas Houston M.A. with a vision of Sanskrit as a universal sacred language. Using learning technology based on the theory and practice of yoga, ASI emphasizes the ease and joy of learning Sanskrit through the enjoyment of making the sounds, fluently reading the original Devanagari script, and directly reading, chanting and understanding sacred literature. Anyone can start with ASI's breakthrough weekend immersion - no experience required! Longer immersions are also offered for beginners and more advanced students. ASI's home study materials include the widely acclaimed Sanskrit by CD and the Sanskrit Atlas, an elegant mapping of the language's entire structure.
