The founder of the family's long history, The Late Masaood Bin Salem Al Muhairbi (May Allah have mercy on him) first became successful in the pearl trade 150 years ago when it was one of the most important economic activities.In the 1950's this ancient trade declined rapidly as many challenges arose. Together they have developed the group to make it one of the most successful and diverse trading groups in the region.
