AKHAND JYOTI EYE HOSPITAL is Eastern India's largest eye hospital having done over 65,000 surgeries in 2012-13, of which more than 51,000 were free to the patient. The fast paced growth of the hospital matches it's vision of eradicating the huge backlog of curable blindness in Bihar by 2020. The hospital provides services for cataract, medical & surgical retina, paediatrics, cornes, occuloplasty and has three centers - 300 bed tertiary center at village Mastichak (2 hours from Patna), and 50 bed secondary eye care centers at Patna and Siwan. The institution is mission and employee driven with an immediate goal to reach an annual surgical output level of 1,00,000 by 2015.
