In addition, we offer rapid access to diabetes specialists, telephone appointments with doctors, certified diabetes educators, nurses, dietitians, access to fitness coaches, access to the latest diabetes interventions through clinical trials, specialized pharmacy services and an online patient portal. Our patient portal features the ability to view blood test results (within 48 hours for most tests), a personalized journal and secure Question & Answer with BC Diabetes staff with a response time of within 2 business days.To receive the services of BC Diabetes you must register and become a patient. Register now at https://register.bcdiabetes.ca. With a physician referral all BC Diabetes services (except most podiatry services) will be provided at no charge through the Medical Services Plan of BC. Note all BC Diabetes optometrist partners waive any additional fees for diabetic eye examination.At BC Diabetes we work closely with your family physician. Being a patient at BC Diabetes does not prevent you from attending a regular diabetes centre or seeing another diabetes specialist.
