Members of the IBA (Irish Brokers Association) and PIBA (Professional Insurance Brokers Association) recently voted in favour of a merger between both broker organisations. The new organisation with a combined strength of 1,300 firms representing both general insurance and financial brokers will be known as Brokers Ireland.This significant merger between both broker organisations is believed will demonstrate positive change on behalf of the industry to benefit brokers in helping them best serve Irish consumers and businesses.While the official launch of Brokers Ireland will take place in the Autumn 2017, work has already begun to create a smooth transition to Brokers Ireland across all operating entities of both associations.
