In 1996, Arctic Catering Services and Kuukpik Native Cooperation created the joint venture Kuukpik Arctic Services (KAS). The goals were to provide employment opportunities for Kuukpik shareholders and return profits from contracts to both member corporations. Today, KAS maintains a number of the remote camps throughout the North Slope of Alaska, with cooks, kitchen helpers, housekeeping, maintenance and security.For more than 40 years, Arctic Catering has been raising the bar at remote sites.
