MOSTE is a small organization with a big mission: helping underserved girls fulfill their dream of going to college. This mentoring program, that has grown into a successful college-access and scholarship organization, firmly believes community change happens at the most individual level—one girl at a time. From 7th grade through high school, MOSTE programs that combine personal growth with academic skill-building as the key to breaking the cycle of gang involvement, reducing teen pregnancy rates, preventing substance abuse and reducing school dropout rates. MOSTE recognizes the importance of offsetting the negative pressures that begin early in these girls' lives and creates a college-going culture in their place.
